    Suggestions for Future Takeaway Themes
Is there a menu theme we’ve not tried yet that you wish we had? Do you have a past favourite that you’d like us to revisit? This is your opportunity to influence our decision making regarding future takeaway menus!  Our next night will be Saturday 27th March

  • We’re back up and running with an updated food ordering menu and an Italian takeaway night planned!

We’re happy to report that all’s well at FHFoods HQ and we’re gearing up to start cooking for you again this week and every week thereafter
Our Lockdown 3.0 menu is attached and replaces previous menus as there have been some price changes, both up and down. The basic arrangement remains unchanged – order by Tuesday afternoon for delivery Thursday evening.

Also attached is our Italian-themed takeaway menu which is available to order for collection on Saturday 13 February; just in time to celebrate St Valentine’s Day.  If anyone wants to lovingly nudge a meatball across the table towards their partner Lady & The Tramp-style, be our guest!
A four-course meal with side dishes and two desserts costs £17.50. This compares very favourably with other takeaways in town. We costed out a similar veggie/vegan menu from 11 other establishments and the average price was £22.80.Our next takeaway night will be Saturday 06 March and the menu will be Indian-themed

We are also back on the edibLE16 shop now, and more products will be added to their website in the coming days.  See https://store.edible16.org.uk/ for more information.

February’s farmers market has now been cancelled but will hopefully return in March
That’s it for now! Hope to see you over a doorstep soon 😊
    Stay safe, Kerry & Nathan
PS. if you’re self-isolating and would like any shopping fetching for you when we drop off our order please just let us know

  • Update – January 2021

Having enjoyed a very busy run up to Christmas with the most festive food orders we have ever had (thank you!) we have been having some well-earned January downtime which ends this weekend.

We had hoped to be writing about how we are up and running and back in the kitchen again next week but that is not going to be the case. Mr FHFoods has tested positive so we are currently self-isolating (his symptoms are mild). Normal service will resume once Covid has left the building and we have done a thorough cleanse and sanitize.

We took the decision last week, in light of the worsening situation, to cancel our planned pop up at the Eco Village on 23 January and our attendance at the Farmers Market on 04 February. Apologies to those who were hoping to find us there; we do not want to be the reason you leave your home.

All being well, our weekly contact-free deliveries and monthly takeaway meals will begin again in February. Our Lockdown food ordering menu is being updated and will be published very soon.

In the meantime, we hope you had a good a Christmas as possible and wish you all the best for 2021, stay safe xx

  • Our Order Book is Full!

Thank you to everyone who has placed a Festive Food Order with us for collection in the coming days; there is many of you and we are truly very grateful 😊
With our Christmas takeaway menu still to cater for plus more orders next week, we are now up to our limit and cannot accommodate further requests

We will be at the Christmas Farmers Market tomorrow mainly to hand over all the food that has been pre-ordered but we will have a small surplus stock of a few items

  • November’s Pop Up Dining Night becomes a Takeaway

As you might well have expected following the Government’s announcement on 31 October, we will no longer be permitted to host our pop up night on 21 November. This is a real shame (we were only 4 customers away from being fully booked) but completely understandable.

By way of an alternative, we shall be offering the whole menu (shown below) at a reduced price as a takeaway option instead. Collect all four courses from us cold then reheat at your leisure at home. This way you don’t have to miss Strictly Come Dancing! 😄

If this is of interest please let us know by Wednesday 18 November so that we can add you to the list.

  • Work behind the scenes

After much reading of government and catering association guidance, form printing, box ticking, risk assessment updating, more reading, folder completing and test taking we are Covid-19 safety trained

Let’s hope that the guidance doesn’t all change soon and that, even better, our certificates are no longer necessary because everything is back to normal 🤞

  • Pop Up News!

We are very happy to report back from our recent meeting with the Lettings Manager of the Jubilee Hall that together, we have worked out how we can safely host pop up dining nights once more in a Covid-secure way 👍💚
We also arranged dates for the remainder of the year:
    Saturday 24 October (menu below)
Saturday 21 November (Welsh & Irish themed menu)
Saturday 19 December (festive menu 🎄)

We will take bookings in advance only, without a deposit as normal, keep ourselves informed of the changing situation surrounding Covid-19 and, if necessary, cancel the pop up.  The price of the meal has increased slightly to help cover the increased cost of hiring the hall. The evening may also be cancelled if we don’t reach the minimum number required to make the evening viable

Below is a summary of the new operating procedures:
    – maximum 30 diners with a limit of 6 in any one booking
    – tables spaced at least 2 meters apart
    – table service only, no buffet counter
    – no self-serve hot or cold drinks counter, BYO option still stands
    – one person in the toilets at any time
    – face coverings to be worn at all times except when seated at your table
    – enter via the front door as usual, sanitize hands, fill in the Track & Trace form, maintain social distancing
    – exit by 10pm at the latest via the fire doors on the far side straight on to the car park
If you have any questions about anything please ask.

Here is our Winter Warmers menu for Saturday 24th October, please book by Wednesday 21st

If you would like to reserve a table for October, November or December please get in touch
We look forward to feeding you soon 😊

  • Harborough Farmers Market returns this week (02/07/20) & other news

We are happy to report that the farmers market returns to Harborough this Thursday. To comply with government guidance, Harborough Market will fence off the Square, limit the number of people allowed in and control entry so that the space does not become overcrowded, operate a one-in, one-out policy and have a hand sanitising station at the entrance. Contact-less card payments are preferred, as is pre-ordering where possible, to speed up transactions. The 2-metre rule will need to be observed whilst queuing, and shoppers will be gently encouraged to move on to make space for other shoppers to also get what they need. Touch points will be regularly cleaned.
If you have any queries or would like further clarification please let us know.

Our food delivery service is being put on hold for one week next week (9th) while we have a short break before Nathan returns to his other job. Normal service will be resumed from week commencing 13 July.

Due to the Farmers Market, food orders for this week (2nd) are available for collection from the farmers market or by delivery only. No collections from our door please. The menu is posted below.

We have contacted the Jubilee Hall regarding holding pop up dining nights there again and, the short answer is, it’s not possible until they have completed a risk assessment and have detailed plans and procedures in place to maintain the safety of all users. Watch this space!

The end of June marks our 5th Veganniversary and we have celebrated by submitting our self assessment tax returns 7 months earlier than normal! How rock & roll of us!! 😂

    Stay safe All x
