    This week all customers of edible16.org.uk will receive a free pot of our butter bean hummus with capers and dill.  This is delicious served with warm wholemeal pitta bread and crudités 😋
    Next week it will be Kerry’s chocolate orange cookies!

  • Charities supported in 2015

    When we rekindled our popular pop up nights in 2015 we decided it would be good to give something back and so agreed that we would choose an animal-based charity to support each time.  Here is a list of the charities chosen in 2015.  Donations were made up of monies specifically left by customers at our Pop Up Dining nights and through us donating a percentage of our profits from the night.

    We would welcome any recommendations for charities that we can support in 2016

    March – PDSA

    April – Animals In Need Northants

    May – Brook Farm Animal Sanctuary, Raunds, Northants

    June – Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital

    July – The Horse’s Voice, Husbands Bosworth

    August – Brook Farm Animal Sanctuary

    September – Dr Hadwen Trust

    October – Leicester Hedgehog Rescue

    November – Northants Greyhound Rescue

    December – The Donkey Sanctuary

    Hot and cold drinks will be available on a ‘help yourself’ basis with an honesty box; please also feel free to BYO.
    Arrival is 7.30 for 8pm start

    Our chosen charity for September’s pop up night (19th) will be the Dr Hadwen Trust – the UK’s leading non-animal medical research charity.

  • Pop Up Dining – August 2015

    We have decided to go for a buffet-style evening again as that seemed to work well in July

    The theme this month is ‘mediterranean’ and the menu, as it currently stands, can be seen via the link below.  Please book in advance (no pre-ordering required) and advise us of any dietary requirements at the same time.  The entire menu is vegan.  Alcoholic and soft drinks will be available on a help yourself basis with an honesty box provided

    Our chosen charity for August is now the Brook Farm Animal Sanctuary in Raunds.  They will receive a percentage of our takings from the night.

  • It’s official! We’ve gone vegan 🙂

    Since watching a very powerful documentary called Earthlings in June we decided that FarrinHeight Foods should no longer serve or sell food containing dairy or eggs.  This suits me just fine as I’m already well on the way to being fully vegan; Nathan has now joined me on this path.

    Our pop up night menus, farmers market produce and festival food, which was all veggie anyway, will obviously remain suitable for vegetarians but will now ALL be SFV – suitable for vegans!
